The past 24 hours have been such a blessing and a blur. In preparing for baby j we are getting several questions about what we need and how others can help. Everyones excitement has made this time even more precious!
After much prayer and discussion we have decided it would be best for us to wait until after baby j arrives to schedule any showers. With the many variables that we are facing between now and placement, it would be best to wait. We have set up registries for the items we are in need of immediately and plan to add to it once baby j has arrived.
As this is an adoption we have several requirements we have to work within for baby gear, such as furniture. The items on our registries all clear the requirements for our agency/state of Texas.
With that said, here is a list of the items we are in need of most. Please note Heather is severely allergic to Aloe in all forms, we have registered for the few things we found that do not contain aloe. Because of the severity of the allergy, we will register for reusable diapers and wipes within the next few weeks. For the moment we will use disposable.

Towels & Washcloths
Water for formula - Target or Babies R US
We will need formula and bottles, however we have been instructed to wait until he is born to find out what the hospital is using and what baby j is receptive to. After that point we will register for bottles.
We have been asked about furniture, decor, etc, we will registered for these things after he has arrived. With the birth so soon we don't want to rush and miss anything that we realize later we may need. We are also trying to get everything straightened out with insurance, work, leave, pediatrician, so there is very little time to focus on the nursery, that time will come. I hope that makes sense.
Lastly there are many prayers we need at this time. We are listing the below so you might be able to pray with us. Please know that we so appreciate your generosity and how much you all have loved on us. We cannot wait for you to meet baby j!
